BRAVO !!!!!!  & THANK YOU !!!!!

What a success you created-----------Standing in our booth and watching all the caring people surrounding the Fest. How much it has grown in four years.  Kim and I were overwhelmed with the success of our booth
SO many of the school kits that people brought in and so many that gave donations for the kits.

I feel privileged to be a part of The Freedom Fest and I look forward to next year. God Bless American Armed Forces.  They have given so much to keep us safe.

Once again I thank you for all you do.

From A Military Mom
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL AFTERNOON.  My parents loved the day and I cannot wait until my deployed son & daughter receive their CD of the day.

From A Festival Attendee
Thank you for sending your invitation to attend the 4th Annual Family Freedom Festival. You certainly had a well planned and executed event and your hard work was evident and fruitful. The speakers invoked inspiration and emotion in bringing their messages of the service and sacrifices of those serving in our military. The "Freedom Walk" gave us opportunity to show our support on Pentagon TV as well as to the community. The dancers and Blooze Brothers provided great entertainment. Thanks for giving this event to Barrington to allow us to show our appreciation and support.

From A Care Village Participating Organization
It was my great pleasure to represent the United States Army to say "Thank You" to all United States Army Soldiers, Soldiers, Parents of Soldiers, Spouses of Soldiers and the Employer of USAR and ARNG Soldiers. We were able to get the word out that the United States Army wants to thank Veterans for a "Job Well Done".

I was humbled to be involved in this great event. I will be proud to be asked to come back next year.

From A Festival Attendee
Kudos to you and your team – Great 2007 Freedom Festival!!!!!!!!

Every day, Soldiers fighting the Global War on Terrorism risk their lives in operations that help secure the freedom of all American people. Whether they are veterans of the Iraq or Afghanistan wars, there is only one operation that matters when they return home: Operation Tribute to Freedom (OTF) – the Army’s program designed to honor Soldiers and give them opportunities to thank the American people for their support.

The Freedom Team Salute program provides Soldiers with a means to recognize their supporters: spouses, parents, and employers of National Guard and Reserve Soldiers. Honorably discharged veterans may likewise nominate themselves for recognition under this program. Nominees will receive an Army lapel pin, an Army decal, a certificate and letter signed by the Secretary of the Army and the Chief of Staff of the Army thanking them for their support.     Learn More

NEW Addition To Our Family Freedom Festival Weekend
Saturday September 6, 2008, We Do Care is hosting Barrington's 1st annual 9.11 Mile Freedom Run.  This runner and walker friendly race will be special in many ways.  In remembrance of the courage, compassion, and triumph of the human spirit, that has come from the 9.11 terrorists attacks, race participants will have the chance to bring these same qualities to our beautiful yet challenging course through Barrington and Barrington Hills countryside.  Unique performance race shirts will allow for personalized messages of support and thanks to our men and women in uniform, veterans, and military families.  All the details will be announced soon...so return here often to learn more and watch for registration information.

Community Symposium
Comming October 2008

An evening exploring the ideals of democracy, freedom, & liberty.  Jacob Needleman, professor of philosophy at San Francisco State University and author of The American Soul, will be the  featured guest.  At the heart of The American Soul is a call to rediscover the timeless truths hidden within the founding vision of the American nation.

Questions to be explored include:
• What is the idea of America?
• What does America mean?
• What are the duties we have that are implied by our rights?
• What was the spiritual core at the founding of our country?
• What is freedom?
• Is democracy more than a model of government?
• What is the common greatness that we are all a part of?
