We Do Care
Grassroots Support

In addition to the immediate help that individuals can provide to the troops through the services of partnered service organizations, the Freedom Festival has become the catalyst for other efforts that tangibly make a real difference for military personnel and families.

BRAVO !!!!!!  & THANK YOU !!!!!

What a success you created-----------Standing in our booth and watching all the caring people surrounding the Fest. How much it has grown in four years.  Kim and I were overwhelmed with the success of our booth
SO many of the school kits that people brought in and so many that gave donations for the kits.

I feel privileged to be a part of The Freedom Fest and I look forward to next year. God Bless American Armed Forces.  They have given so much to keep us safe.

Once again I thank you for all you do.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL AFTERNOON.  My parents loved the day and I cannot wait until my deployed son & daughter receive their CD of the day.

From A Festival Attendee
Thank you for sending your invitation to attend the 4th Annual Family Freedom Festival. You certainly had a well planned and executed event and your hard work was evident and fruitful. The speakers invoked inspiration and emotion in bringing their messages of the service and sacrifices of those serving in our military. The "Freedom Walk" gave us opportunity to show our support on Pentagon TV as well as to the community. The dancers and Blooze Brothers provided great entertainment. Thanks for giving this event to Barrington to allow us to show our appreciation and support.

It was my great pleasure to represent the United States Army to say "Thank You" to all United States Army Soldiers, Soldiers, Parents of Soldiers, Spouses of Soldiers and the Employer of USAR and ARNG Soldiers. We were able to get the word out that the United States Army wants to thank Veterans for a "Job Well Done".

I was humbled to be involved in this great event. I will be proud to be asked to come back next year.

Kudos to you and your team – Great 2007 Freedom Festival!!!!!!!!

Our 1st annual Freedom Festival was conceived, developed and produced in eight short weeks. Since that fall of 2004 we have produced annual Family Freedom Festivals in Barrinton, IL, and others in San Antonio, TX.

The outpouring of support from the Northern Illinois community is overwhelming, with the 1,000+ attendees of each festival taking action in thanks and support. Over the years a represntative sammpling of tangible results include the following:

Freedom Festival attendees assembled 219 specially packaged school supply kits were shipped to Operation Iraqi Children who then provide them to our troops in Iraq to spread goodwill in Iraqi towns.

Over 400 “goodwill packages” were shipped to our troops by Freedom Festival attendees.

Over 100 uniformed service personnel and veterans were fed free of  charge throughout the Freedom Festival as a sign of our thanks and gratitude.

The Pentagon Channel was onsite and recorded the Freedom Festival as well as messages of support from attendees and was broadcast worldwide to the troops.

A 30-foot banner with the message “Northern Illinois Thanks Our Troops For Defending Our Freedom” with over 2,000 signatures was delivered to Chicago’s 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment who departed for their second tour of duty in Iraq on January 2nd 2008.

We Do Care was able to support the USO by providing all the cots and blankets used by traveling service men and women at O’Hare airport.

Thousands of dollars were raised by our Care Village partners helping them fulfill their unique missions of support for our active duty military, veterans and military families.

Operation Paperback received over 1150 paperbacks for our troops.

LifeSource served 40 people resulting in 33 pints of blood which will save saves 99 lives.

Solders' Angels assisted 70 soldiers to be adopted on the spot and expect more to adopted through their website.

Sally Mudd sold 50 CD Greeting cards of her single "The Soldier Song".
