We Do Care
Welcome To We Do Care

Mission

We Do Care is an Illinois 501 (C) (3), non political, and grass roots organization, founded by concerned Illinois residents in September 2004.  Our Mission is to provide tangible opportunities for the American public to thank and support active duty military personnel, their families, and veterans while acknowledging and appreciating the freedom unique to our country.

Since our founding in 2004 we have been committed to insuring those who serve never have to ask “Are we being supported back home?”  Partnering with over twenty organizations and every branch of the military we have found meaningful ways to thank and tangibly support those who are:

• Answering the call of duty
• Away from their families and loved ones
• In harms way
• Protecting our freedoms and way of life
• Risking their lives so we may live in a more peaceful world.

We believe - while the 1.4 million men and women in uniform are honorably fulfilling their duty, so too does every American have a duty to fulfill.  That duty is to insure that all who wear the cloth of the United States of America clearly see that they are supported back home.

“You probably have no idea the positive impact that you continue to make with your efforts. Thanks for all that you're doing and may God bless you and your efforts.”

Comming October 2008

An evening exploring the ideals of democracy, freedom, & liberty.  Jacob Needleman, professor of philosophy at San Francisco State University and author of The American Soul, will be the  featured guest.  At the heart of The American Soul is a call to rediscover the timeless truths hidden within the founding vision of the American nation.

Questions to be explored include:
• What is the idea of America?
• What does America mean?
• What are the duties we have that are implied by our rights?
• What was the spiritual core at the founding of our country?
• What is freedom?
• Is democracy more than a model of government?
• What is the common greatness that we are all a part of?
